1. Mission Impossible 3: So - so only, I think it's mostly to do with Tom Cruise. I liked Maggie Q, Jonathan Rhys-Myers (that cute Brit guy) and Phillip Seymour (the bad guy) in it
2. X-Men 3: One movie that I was highly anticipating and yeaaa!...It was good!...I prefer it over the 2nd one anyway. Few minor grumbles include, more of Angel please! And please, don't stop at 3 movies, do more...there r so many X-men to talk about... how bout Gambit?
3. The Da Vinci Code : This was a major letdown, coz I was waiting for the movie to come out ever since I read the book. Even more so since it has Tom Hanks and all these other experienced actors. But they were really crippled by the storyline, as lot of things that made the book 'interesting' were played out a bit differently. Good thing I watched it on VCD...it was sooo draggy..i found myself asking..'Is it over yet??'
Since I was having exams these past few weeks, I have yet to watch The Fast and the Furious - Tokyo Drift, Cars and Over the Hedge.
BUT...getting to the main point...Superman Returns is coming out today (since it's already 3am) and Pirates 2 is next week! I really can't wait for Pirates of the Caribbean- Dead Man's Chest. My, such a long title, just like the previous one. The original movie was considered a sleeper hit, in the sense that most ppl expected it to fail. Previous pirate movies were flops, and the movie was based on one of the more 'boring' rides at Disneyland. But it became a success, I believe due to the surprising storyline, and chemistry between the 3 main stars. Of course, the best part was Captain Jack Sparrow, played very well by Johnny Depp.
Only recently I've come to realize just how great Johnny Depp is as an actor. Just look at the various roles he's played.Willy Wonka, Captain Jack, Edward Scissorhands, Ichabod Crane, Ed Wood..all interesting/odd, but weirdly likeable...And by the way...he was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for Captain Jack Sparrow...
As usual, when I'm suddenly obsessed with these movies or new series etc...I tend to go find out more about them...but really the subject of PIRATES...has this adventurous feel to the word alone. Which is probably why little kids have played at being pirates, and it seems such fun to watch Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom playing at it. Of course, one major draw of the Pirates movies is that all 3 main stars are super good looking: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. *drooooolssss*
Orlando Bloom/Will Turner looking all messy but still yummy
Whoo!!..Isn't Keira Knightly/Elizabeth Swann hot in this role?

From the trailer, I guess you can understand the rough idea of the new movie's plot. But here's a simple sypnopsis,...without giving away any spoilers...which i found out (to my dismay!).
Sypnopsis
It all starts with Will Turner (Orlando) and Elizabeth (Keira) about to get married. However they're interrupted and somehow, they end up having to help Jack (Johnny) settle his problems. You see, Jack owes his soul to Davey Jones, the infamous pirate of legend. So they run around, trying to save Jack, getting into all sorts of hijinks, with other pirates, monstrous looking henchmen of Davey Jones and some weird cannibals who seem to like painting eyes on Jack. Of course, there are several of the trademark wild swordfights of the previous ones and expect lots of twists and turns. Just a word of warning...it's supposed to b the 2nd movie in a 'trilogy' of sorts, so be prepared that it's meant to join all 3 movies together.
To whet your appetites for at least another week before Pirates 2 sails into our cinemas...here's a video of the bloopers from the first movie. If you've watched it, you'll understand why I find it amusing. SavvY?
Prance around in costume for us too Johnny! I want more Pirates movies! Now..bring me that horizon~~

When this trilogy ends...I'm gonna be sad...seems like Johnny Depp will too. As from a Newsweek interview, "He's a blast to play," he says. "I'll be in a deep, dark depression saying goodbye to him." He laughs. "I'll keep the costume and just prance around the house, entertain the kids." Or the rest of the world. "Maybe 'Pirates 4, 5 and 6'," he says. "If they had a good script, why not? I mean, at a certain point, the madness must stop, but for the moment, I can't say that he's done."
